Our client, a multinational manufacturing firm in the packaging industry is seeking to recruit a Technicianor a service Engineer to be based in Dar es salaam, Tanzania. 

The successful candidate will be in charge of servicing machinery and tools used in the manufacturing plant. 

We are specifically seeking candidates of Tanzanian Nationality aged below 35 years.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and service all the machinery and equipment in the manufacturing unit
• Plan the servicing work in advance so that the output of the factory is not affected by the service work
• Make detailed reports on all the work that is done on each machine
• To ensure that any parts that need replacing are available in stock and make orders in advance so as not to slow the manufacturing unit
• Work towards improving the performance of the machine by identifying faulty parts and repair them before major problems arise in future
• Be well versed with user manuals for all machines
• Should have an idea of all latest repair equipments
• Conduct safety checks on all the machines to prevent them from being dangerous for the workers working on them
• Keep an inventory of equipment required for the repair work
• Know about all the latest machinery that is available in the market
• Should inspect all the machines and make reports for the management that whether or not new machines are required

Qualification and Experience

• At least a Diploma or a Degree in Engineering or any other related  field
• Should have minimum of 5 years of similar experience.
• Should be proactive, independent, aggressive and passionate about the client business
• Good interpersonal skills
