Fiber Optic Splicing Engineers

Job Description:  

Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and handling of Fiber Optic cable

Perform OTDR testing;

Perform cable splicing and fiber acceptance testing;

Monitor team performing conduit installation, cable placement and splicing;

Provide preliminary site surveys for building entrance construction requirements and equipment space availability;

Provide leadership for all splicing activities, including continuity testing, OTDR trace analysis and optical power meter data of fiber optic cable;

Responsible for installation and testing of fiber optic patch cords;

Ensuring that the project adheres to guidelines/specification of the client/customer.

Hauling of inner ducts, flouting of the fiber cable, splicing and termination on the Switches.

Linking of BTS with fiber cables, ugpgrade and downgrade, installing combiner and CU's and FCUs at the BTS Container

Experience:

• At least 5 Years in Fiber Optic installation

Key skills / Qualification required

Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunication

Experience using Splicing machine, OTDR

Experience in creating and using the Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
